This blog is a place to record all the things I love about the food, wine and atmosphere of the French and Italian Rivieras.  Some years ago, I was lucky enough to live in Nice and I book return visits as frequently as possible but, of course, it never seems to be often enough.  My Riviera cookbook library is still growing and I like nothing better than to idle away an hour or two comparing the intricate differences in recipes from one book to another, while sipping a glass of Vermentino perhaps.

My name is Jackie and I live in Dorset in the UK where I work freelance as a Human Resources Consultant and run wine tastings for private clients.  I am Mum to two children who (luckily for them) adore pesto.
